Parliament Panel Invites UDF for Deliberations on NEET-NTA Reforms
New Delhi/Shimla: Amid continuing concerns over the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the credibility of national entrance examinations, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports (EWCY&S), Rajya Sabha, has invited the United Doctors Front (UDF) to participate in deliberations on NEET and NTA-related reforms.
The UDF, one of the country’s largest associations of young doctors and medical students, will place a detailed representation before the parliamentary panel focusing on transparency, accountability, examination integrity and systemic reforms in national examinations.
Dr. Lakshya Mittal, Chairperson of UDF, said the invitation reflected the growing concern over the future of students and the need for credible examination mechanisms.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to present stakeholders’ concerns before the Parliamentary forum. Students across the country expect transparency, fairness and accountability in national examinations. We hope meaningful reforms emerge from this process,” Dr Mittal said.
He added that the issue remains sub judice as matters related to NTA reforms and examination concerns are also pending before the Supreme Court of India.
