Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment of Girl Students in Himachal 

Shimla: Sending out a clear message of zero tolerance, the Himachal Pradesh government has dismissed three assistant professors over serious allegations of sexual harassment involving girl students.

The action follows a detailed departmental probe conducted by the Education Department after complaints surfaced over the past few years.

The accused faculty members, two posted in  Shimla and third one in government college Nadaun. They were  earlier been placed under suspension pending inquiry.

Officials said the investigation established misconduct, prompting the government to order their immediate dismissal from service.

In a further crackdown, all three have also been debarred from any future government employment.

The move sends a strong signal that there will be no compromise on student safety and dignity, with authorities making it clear that harassment cases will invite the toughest action.
