They created a one- of-its- kind world record- a first 100 per cent women world record rope climb peak challenge. The women team climbed 4027 m high Mount Breithorn Zermatt in Switzerland on June 17.
As soon as rope climb team members start hitting "peak challenge", Anchal was the first to unfurl Indian Tiranga(Tricolour) on the Swiss Shangri La peak and jumped into in an ecstasy in Swiss Alpine airs.
It is a proud moment for India and Himachal as well. One of its daughters Aanchal Thakur, a world class skier from tourist town of Manali and two other Indian fitness enthusiasts Shibani Gharat and Charmy Dedhia were also members of this all 80-women team from across 25 nations, who set this world record on June 17, 2022.
