Braveheart Rifleman Kulbushan Manta Honored with Shaurya Chakra Posthumously
SHIMLA: President Droupadi Murmu has awarded the Shaurya Chakra to Rifleman Kulbushan Manta of The Jammu & Kashmir Rifles, 52nd Battalion The Rashtriya Rifles, who laid down his life in the line of duty.
Manta was among the over a dozen soldiers recognized for their ultimate sacrifice.
In a courageous joint operation in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, Manta's bravery and sharp tactics led to the capture of a terrorist alive, before he made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.
His mother and his wife, Veer Naris received the prize from the President in New Delhi. He hailed from Kupvi in Chopal sub-division.
People of the Chopal have saluted to the Brave heart and his mother and wife, Veer Naris.
He is survived by his minor son.
