SHIMLA- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, during the World Environment Day function at Peterhoff, distributed Environment Leadership Awards to organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to environmental conservation.
The awards, with a first prize of Rs. 50,000 and second prize of Rs. 25,000, were presented in various categories.
Government Primary School Dagrahan (Bilaspur district) and Government Senior Secondary School Bagheri (Solan district) received top honors in the schools category.
In the NGO category, M/s Krich Cleaning Pvt Ltd (Kullu district) was awarded the first prize.
In the industries category, M/s Luminous Power Tech Pvt Ltd (Una district) took home the first prize. Civil Hospital Sundernagar (Mandi district) received the first prize in the hospital category.
Individual awards went to Om Prakash Sharma (Jubbal, Shimla district) and Dr. Tara Devi (Panjehti, Mandi district). Municipal Council Sujanpur (Hamirpur district) was recognized as the top Urban Local Body. The Chief Minister also honored winners of slogan, painting, and essay writing competitions held on World Environment Day.
