SHIMLA: It is proud moment for the people of Deha Balson in Chopal and Ladakh. The two of their young men-Ravikant Bhandari and Stanzin Norgays- were commissioned as lieutenants in the Indian army.
Lt Ravikant hails from Bhandari family of Balson in Deha. He has made it big as he had studied in the Gurukul School at Deha, a non-descript township in Chopal region of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.
“We congratulate their proud parents, whose dreams have come true and all Gurukulian team members”, said Gian Verma, who runs the school.
The students of Gurukul hail the success of Ravikant. It has come as a big motivation for all Gurukulian for their future, said the students.
It is a proud moment for whole Balson community that Ravikant is one of our alumini class 10 batch 2016-17.
He has been commissioned from IMA Dehradun as Lieutenant in a special force.
On the other hand, in the remote cold desert of Ladakh, family members are also happy. Stanzin Norgays, 26, a first from Ladakh region in army’s Ladakh scouts regiment, who was commissioned as an officer from the rank of sepoy on Saturday.
His family members express their happiness about his achievement saying that they have got an opportunity to serve the motherland which is the proud movement for them.
