Shimla- Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, the Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN has assumed the additional responsibility of Chairman of the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) from today.
According to SJVN release, Sharma, who heads SJVN since December 2017, brings with him more than 33 years of experience in Administration and the Power Sector.
Under his visionary leadership, SJVN has witnessed remarkable growth both within India and internationally.
Notably, the company's project portfolio has expanded from around 5200 MW in 2017 to a staggering 54,327 MW at present.
Sharma holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the International Centre for Promotion of Public Enterprises at the University of Lubliana, Slovenia, in Europe.
Sharma serves as the Chairman of three subsidiary companies of SJVN, namely SJVN Arun-3 Power Development Company, SJVN Thermal Private Limited, and SJVN Green Energy Limited.
With this new responsibility as Chairman of BBMB, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma is set to lead and guide both SJVN and BBMB, leveraging his expertise to drive sustainable growth in the power sector.
