Bilaspur Scientist Dr. Prem Lal Gautam Honoured with Padma Shri for Outstanding Contribution to Agriculture

Shimla/Bilaspur: Renowned agricultural scientist Dr. Prem Lal Gautam, a native of Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh, has been conferred the prestigious Padma Shri by Droupadi Murmu in recognition of his exceptional contributions to science and engineering.

 

Dr. Gautam has earned national acclaim for his pioneering work in agriculture, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of farmers' rights. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in shaping policies aimed at safeguarding India's rich biological resources while ensuring that farming communities benefit from scientific advancements.
