SGFI Secretary General Amarjeet Sharma Gets Key Asian School Football Role
SHIMLA: School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Secretary General and former Himachal Pradesh Director of Higher Education, Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma, has been elected as a Member of the Asian School Football Federation (ASFF) and appointed Vice Chairman of its Technical Committee.
The appointment is a major international recognition for Indian school sports. It will strengthen India's role in shaping school football policies and technical decisions across Asia, say state officials.
The Himachal School Sports Association welcomed the achievement and called it a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh and the country.
ADPO Headquarters Santosh Chauhan said Dr. Sharma's leadership will help create more opportunities for young Indian players to compete at the international level.
SGFI members also congratulated Dr. Sharma, describing the honour as another milestone for the federation and a reflection of the collective efforts of its leadership and members to promote school sports.
