In a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh University, Professor Mahavir Singh has been named among the top 2% scientists globally in Stanford University's 2024 rankings for his pioneering work in Applied Physics (Material Science).
His cutting-edge research in Magnetic Nano Technology has earned him this prestigious recognition.
Prof Mahavir Singh hails from Kumarsain area of Shimla district.
With over 12 years of research, Prof Singh’s work focuses on revolutionizing the Green Energy sector, particularly electric vehicles, and antenna miniaturization for GHz frequency communications.
His breakthroughs in using eco-friendly, biocompatible materials make his innovations crucial for sustainable energy, healthcare, and communication solutions.
Notably, Prof Singh is leading efforts to replace rare, costly magnetic materials in electric motors with abundant ferrites, promoting greener alternatives.
His collaborative research with international institutes like Brest University (France), King Abdullah University (Saudi Arabia), and Dundee University (UK) has elevated the global impact of his work.
With 25 PhD scholars under his guidance and extensive publications in top-tier journals, Prof Singh’s contributions have positioned HPU on the global scientific map.
