India-born Parag Agrawal, an IIT Bombay alumnus has joined an exclusive club of Indian COEs of world’s top companies. He has become new CEO of Twitter after he took over from Jack Dorsey, “who says it is time for founders to move on”.
Parag was its CTO earlier”, says a netizen on social media, with IIT Bombay alumni celebrating on the platform with an orgy of tweets and likes.
Parag now sits prettily with a new tribe of CEOs that includes Google’s Sunder Pichai, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, IBM Arvind Krishna, Adobe’s Shantanu Narayan, VMware’s Raghu Raghuram and the like.
“It is a great achievement for an Indian technocrat. It will inspire young talent to do new things and move on as the sky is the limit for them”, says Vaamanvir, a school boy and a twitter fan in a Himalayan town.
“Twitter is world’s leading social media platform for everybody that has joined people in a family with likes and dislikes and turning the present world into a private conversation room”, he added.
Parag was also young achiever awardee- 2019. Before joining Twitter Parag worked at Microsoft, Yahoo! and AT&T Labs, twitted IIT, Bombay congratulating Parag for his achievement.
