Preeti has charted a new cycle track record of Nari Shakti of new India, paddling her ways for 480 km for 55 hours and 13 minutes non-stop!
Preeti has set entire social media ablaze with accolades pouring in from netizens for her rare feat of adventure.
Preeti cycled her ways from Leh, crossed four highland snowbound Passes braving all elements of highland Himalaya.
She covered a record 480 kms in 55 hour and 13 minutes and reached Manali, a tourist town in Himachal Pradesh on June 29 non-stop!
Supporting her Solo World Ultra Cycling Record attempt was none other than Karamth Karmyogis of Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
Preeti has dedicated her first successful solo cycle expedition from Leh to Manali to BRO in a gesture that befits high-spirted jawans of BRO.
BRO keeps our Border roads running and thriving with life and adventure, enabling our soldiers to keep an eagle-eye on “any nasty movement of Chinese and Pakistani soldiers on the border from Daulat Beg Oldie in Karakoram range and Siachen Glacier, world’s highest battleground to Sera Top in Arunachal Pradesh.
She embarked on a record breaking endeavour starting from Leh at 3600 m at 0600 hour on June 22nd. She paddled her ways to Ramptse to the skyrocketing Tanglang La at 5400 m and Lachung La, Gataloop by 1930 hours on June 23.
Then she cycled uphill from Sarchu to Bara La Cha Pass at 4900 m, braving its bone-chilling winds. Her message suggests to tourists and tour operators at Pass, choked with trash and junk and gasoline: Keep the Mighty Passes Clean.
From Surajtal through Patseo, Darcha and Jispa, she hit Keylong, district headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti in Himachal Pradesh.
She winded her ways through Tandi, confluence of Chandra and Bhagha rivers through Sissu and Koksar and pedalled her ways uphill to the Pass of Dead Bones- Rohtang La at 3350 m.
Preeti snaked her ultra bicycle down through Marhi, Palchan. the paragliding sites for the winged creatures to Manali located at 2050 m.
She raised her arms high up after she hit her port of call, Manali, creating a history showing real Nari Shakti of the new India women. She is celebrity in her own right. Preeti comes from Maharashtra.
