SHIMLA: SJVN announced a Power Usage Agreement (PUA) through its subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL).
The agreement, signed with Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), involves the supply of 200 MW solar power from the upcoming 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project (BSPP) in Rajasthan.
The project, developed under the CPSU Scheme of IREDA, has a development cost of Rs 5491 crores and is set to be operational by April 2024.
The power generated will be utilized by government entities, contributing to solar RPO targets and addressing power deficits.
The foundation stone for the BSPP was laid by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, on January 3, 2023.
