ED Crackdown Shakes Punjab Business Circles: Jalandhar Arrests Spark Buzz
CHANDIGARH: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has created a stir in Punjab’s business community with the arrest of two key figures linked to a money laundering probe.
Sukhvinder Singh Kharour and Dimple Kharour were taken into custody on February 28, 2025, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
The case revolves around M/s Vuenow Marketing Services Ltd. and its associated entities. The ED is investigating financial irregularities and suspected money laundering operations involving the firm.
The duo was presented before the Special Court (PMLA) in Jalandhar. The court granted 10-day ED custody for Sukhvinder Singh Kharour, extending till March 10, 2025.
Dimple Kharour was remanded for five days, with her custody ending on March 5, 2025.
