Shimla: State Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority (SSWC&MA) that met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur approved 19 new industrial and expansion projects amounting to Rs. 1376.93 crores in the state.

According to the official release, the Authority approved 19 project proposals for setting up new industrial enterprises and expansion of existing units involving total proposed investment of Rs. 1376.93 crore. It has employment potential of about 2266 persons that show Himachal continues to attract the investment despite of overall slowdown in the economy, the release stated.

Most of these units are coming up in the industrial corridor of Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Kala Amb in Solan and Sirmaur districts. The authority also approved  expansion  proposals  of the current units in the state.

Director Industries Rakesh Prajapati conducted the proceedings of the meeting.

Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur and Power Minister Sukh Ram Chaudhary joined the meeting virtually where as Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh, Additional Chief Secretaries R.D. Dhiman and J.C. Sharma, Principal Secretary Onkar Sharma and other officers attended the meeting.
