DHARAMSHALA: On the direction of Industries and Ayush Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, the industries and revenue departments conducted a joint inspection of the identified sites in Kangra district for attracting investments in IT, ITES, Ayush and tourism sectors.
Chauhan had issued these directions in sync with Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s vision to develop Kangra as a tourism hub, information technology, ITES and the Ayush wellness sector.
According to Industries department, the industries and revenue officials have conducted the joint inspection of land parcels located in Tehsil Dharamshala, Baroh, Nagrota Bagwan and Shahpur in Kangra district.
The members of the joint inspection team included Director of Industries Rakesh Prajapati, Additional Director Tilak Raj Sharma, SDM Shahpur M.L Sharma, SDM Dharamshala Shilpi Bekta, GM DIC Kangra Rajesh Kumar and Project Lead, EY Sumit Sagar Dogra.
The inspected sites include Muhal Kiorian, Tehsil Shahpur Charaghah bila Dharakhtan (71 Kanal), Muhal Juhal, Tehsil Dharamshala Jangal Mehfuja/Mehduda (19 hectares), Muhal Chandrot and Tehsil Baroh, Charaghah bila Dharakhtan (95 Kanal).
All these lands belong to the state government.
Besides, the site at Muhal Gujrehra, Tehsil Dharamshala ‘Banjar Kadim/ Khadaiter’ (250 Kanal) was also inspected which is a private land, spokesperson said.
