MANDI: Prime Minister Narender Modi presided over the second ground breaking ceremony of rising Himachal involving 87 projects worth Rs 28197 crore that together with first ground breaking ceremony would give employment to thousands of people in Himachal Pradesh.
He visited the exhibition and got glimpse of Himachal art and crafts, highlights of development works of four years of the Jai Ram Thakur government.
He interacted with a artisan who was knitting yarn by his traditional "Takli".
He inaugurates the Swara Kuddu project, laid foundation stone of Renuka ji Dam, Luhri stage-1 and Dhaulasidh projects, which would give a new speed to development of Himachal.
Thousands of people have converged in the chock-a-block temple town of Mandi to greet and hear the main pandal of the rally in Paddal Maidan was filled to its capacity as thousands of people from across Himachal converged to Mandi from all sides.
According to the BJP’s estimate, the crowd would come close to one lakh people if one goes by the trend of people movement from all parts of the state, mainly Mandi district.
