SHIMLA: The state Government today notified seven industrial areas in Nalagarh, Baddi, Kasauli, Thathal, Amb, Indora and Pandoh in its initiative to expand the industrial corridor of Himachal Pradesh.
Out of these Seven Industrial Areas, Four are New and Three are already notified, says the notification issued by additional Chief Secretary, Industries, R D Dhiman here today. The new industrial areas aim at expanding industrial development in the industrial corridor of Himachal Pradesh.
But the notification has come at the fag-end of the present tenure of the Jai Ram Thakur Government. Himachal Pradesh is going to elect the new state assembly in December 2022, when the tenure of the present government ends.
According to the notification dated April 19, 2022, the government has declared these seven industrial areas on the recommendations of its Standing Committee. As a result, the prices of land in the new industrial areas is bound to shoot up.
New industrial areas are: Manjhouli in Nalagarh, Malku Majra in Baddi, Khadeen in Kasauli, Thathal in Amb. Three already notified industrial areas are: Pandoh in Mandi Sadar, Kandrori in Indora in Kangra district, Jeetpur Bheri in Gharari in Una district.
The Manjhouli industrial area offers 436-06 bighas of land located in Mauja Manjhouli and Mauja Messtibba in Nalagarh tehsil of Solan district of industrial development.
Malku Majra industrial areas has 373-19 bighas of land at Mauja Malku Majra and Gurumajra in Baddi tehsil of Solan district.
Higher up in the Industrial area of Khadeen in Kasauli tehsil has 186 bighas of land in Mauja Khadeen.
In the western side of the industrial corridor, Thathal industrial area offers 07-38-85 hectare of land in Mauja Thathal in Amb Tehsil of Una district for the industrial development.
In the same Una district, Jeetpur Bheri has 12-50-99 hectare of land in tehsil Gharari.
In Kangra district, industrial area of Kandrori has 21-02-76 hectare of land located in Mauja Kulara (Phase-Il) in tehsil Indora.
In the central Mandi zone, industrial area of Pandoh in Mandi Sadar has 12-02-02 hectare of land for industrial development, says the notification.
