CBI Exposes Dark Face of Delhi Police: Bribe-Taking Cops Caught Red-Handed
CBI Nabs Two Delhi Police Officials in ₹2.5 Lakh Bribery Scandal
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has ripped the mask off Delhi Police’s integrity, catching two of its own red-handed in a massive bribery scandal.
A Head Constable and a Constable from Sagarpur Police Station were apprehended while accepting a ₹2.5 lakh bribe—part of a dirty deal to extort ₹5 lakh from a citizen by threatening to falsely implicate him in an NDPS case.
The CBI, acting on a complaint filed on March 26, 2025, set up a well-planned trap. The accused had initially demanded ₹5 lakh but later settled for ₹3 lakh after negotiation. As soon as they took ₹2.5 lakh from the complainant, the CBI swooped in, exposing the rot within the system.
Both corrupt officers have been apprehended, and further investigations are underway. This shocking case once again raises questions about the trustworthiness of law enforcers—who, instead of protecting citizens, were busy extorting them.
