SHIMLA/RAMPUR: Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said the fairs and festivals reflect rich culture of Himachal Pradesh and these need to be protected for posterity.
Presiding over the last cultural evening of Bushehr Carnival-2023 organized by the Bushehr Sports Culture and Environment Association Rampur on the occasion of the three-day Fag fair he said they all should try to preserve the rich culture.
He appreciated the efforts made by the association in this direction.
He said late Virbhadra Singh is our inspiration as he has contributed a lot to development of the state.
He said today I have got the good fortune of visiting the holy land of late Virbhadra Singh. "No shortage of funds will be allowed in the development works here".
He said that the state government would take necessary steps to preserve the culture and fairs here.
Agnihotri said the state government is committed to the promises made to the people, which will be fulfilled in a phased manner.
The Deputy Chief Minister announced Rs 1 lakh for the organizers of the carnival.
Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh said in his address that every promise made to the people of this area will be fulfilled.
"We are going to fulfill the promise made of Tikkar Khamadi road construction, for which a provision of Rs 100 crore has been made and road construction will be started soon", he said.
He said that an amount of Rs 60 lakh has been released to complete the construction work of indoor stadium in Duttnagar, which will benefit the youth of the area. He said that speed will be given in development works in Rampur area.
Local MLA Nandlal welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister and other dignitaries on their visit to Rampur Bushahr.
In the cultural evening, Himachal Pradesh Police Band Harmony of the Pine along with Pahari artist Vicky Chauhan graced the event.
