Shimla- Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla celebrated Foundation Day function of West Bengal State at Kalibari Hall with people from West Bengal. The function was organised in collaboration with Kalibari Shimla Trust.
He praised the people of West Bengal for their significant contributions to the nation and their strong cultural identity.
The Governor mentioned that Bengal has been the birthplace of renowned revolutionaries such as Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, Subhash Chandra Bose, and others.
He also highlighted the progress made by West Bengal in fields like literature, art, cinema, science, technology, and industry.
The Governor expressed his appreciation for the state's cultural festivals, which have become symbols of identity celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to celebrate the Foundation Day of various states, promoting unity in diversity.
The Governor concluded his speech by honoring the people of West Bengal residing in Himachal Pradesh for their efforts in preserving Bengal's cultural heritage.
