Shimla: A massive landslide struck Junga near Shimla late last night, claiming the lives of a father and daughter.
The 30-metre-long slide came crashing down while the family was asleep, completely demolishing their house and burying them under the debris
On the night of 31st August 2025, heavy rains triggered a landslide in Dob, Balog (Mashobra), killing Virendra Sharma (35) and his six-year-old daughter. Their cowshed was also destroyed.
Rescue teams rushed to the spot and managed to recover the bodies after hours of search operations.
