Brave Son of Himachal Dies in Tejas Crash; State Plunged in Mourning

Shimla / Kangra, November 24 — Himachal Pradesh is mourning the loss of one of its most courageous sons. Wing Commander Namansh Syal, hailing from Nagarota Bagwan in Kangra district, tragically lost his life when indigenous fighter jet Tejas crashed during the Dubai Air Show, leaving the nation shaken and the state drowning in grief.

According to reports from Dubai, the fatal sequence unfolded in a matter of seconds.

The Tejas aircraft, which had been performing flawlessly until then, suddenly soared over 10,000 feet above the air show site, before descending sharply, hitting the ground, and erupting into a massive fireball.

Rescue teams rushed to the spot, but the impact was so devastating that survival was impossible.

Back home, the news has shattered the Syal family. The streets of Nagarota Bagwan, which once beamed with pride over their son’s achievements, have now fallen silent.

Neighbours, relatives, friends, and residents from nearby villages have been pouring in to offer condolences and strength to the grieving family.

Officials said the mortal remains of Wing Commander Syal will be brought to Kangra for the last rites with full military honours. The state government has expressed deep sorrow and assured all possible support to the bereaved family.

“This loss is not only of a family — it is a loss to Himachal, to the Indian Air Force, and to the entire nation,” said a senior IAF officer while paying tribute to the pilot.

In every household of the region, one sentiment echoes — our heroes never die. Wing Commander Namansh Syal’s supreme sacrifice has once again underlined the reality that the nation’s aerial borders are protected by young men who risk everything so that the country breathes safely.

As the tricolour prepares to wrap his mortal remains, Himachal stands tall in pride yet broken in spirit — a warrior has gone, but his legacy stays immortal.

May his soul rest in peace, and may God grant courage to the family in this darkest hour.Brave soldiers never fall — they live forever in the heart of the nation.
