SHIMLA: Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Shimla Chapter planted deodar trees in Mahuri village near Shoghi in celebration of Van Mahotsav in which PRSI members, community representatives, and school children participated.
Van Mahotsav drive was carried out under the leadership of Sh BS Panwar, Vice-Chairman of PRSI Shimla Chapter, Dr Dev Kanya Thakur, General Secretary Sh Jagmohan, Secretary Trasurer PRSI and members of PRSI Shimla Chapter Sh Yadvender Chauhan, Sh Ashok Sharma, Dr KG Thakur, Dr Dinesh Thakur, Sh Chandershekhar Verma, Sh Pradeep Kumar and Sh Rohit Thakur, Prof GD Gulati, Sh Yogesh Kumar, Forest Guard, Shoghi Beat , Forest Deptt GoHP, Mrs Reena Thakur, President, Aastha Shivalik Mahila Mandal, Mahuri along with other women representative, Pradhan Shoghi Panchayat Sh Inder Singh Thakur
"The essence of Van Mahotsav lies in recognizing the vital role of trees and forests in sustaining life on Earth," stated Sh BS Panwar, emphasizing the need for ecological balance and leaving a greener legacy for future generations.
PRSI said trees not only purify the air but also conserve water, provide habitats for wildlife, and serve as a natural defense against climate change.
The PRSI encourages the citizens of Shimla to embrace the spirit of Van Mahotsav throughout the year, adopting a tree-planting culture and becoming guardians of the environment.
