Shimla | The Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HAS) Officers’ Association has condemned the attack on Mandi SDM Om Kant Thakur, demanding immediate action against the culprits and personal security officers (PSOs) for field officers.
"Enough is enough. Repeated attacks on SDMs prove that officers are left to fend for themselves while the government sits idle.
Despite multiple promises and notifications, no real action has been taken to provide security," said the HAS Association spokesperson.
The association slammed successive governments for ignoring officers’ safety, warning that law and order will deteriorate if officials remain vulnerable.
HAS officers have now issued a final appeal: “Provide PSOs to SDMs, ADMs, and ADCs before another officer is attacked.”
