CM presides over HP cabinet meeting in Shimla

SHIMLA:  Apart from giving its nod for setting up of  the fruit-based winery at Lakhwati  near Nerwa in Chopal  Teshil to  M/s Cider Mills Private Limited, state Cabinet in its meeting held here today decided to rename one library in district after Dr BR Ambedkar.  

The state cabinet that met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also expressed its gratitude towards Government of India especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National leadership of BJP for according Scheduled Tribe Status to Hatti community of Trans Giri area of Sirmaur district which was pending since 1967.

The Cabinet decided to make part time panchayat chowkidars who have completed 12 years of continuous service as daily wagers Panchayat Employees.

It decided to rename the library of one college in every district of the State as Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar District Library as a mark of respect to the founder of the Indian Constitution.

The Cabinet decided to upgrade temporary Police Post Ladbharol in Mandi district to Police Station alongwith creation and filling up of 8 posts of different categories.

It also decided to upgrade Police Post Pandoh in Mandi district to Police Station alongwith creation and filling up of 8 posts of different categories.

It also decided to create new Sub Divisional Office (Civil) at Sunni in Shimla district to facilitate the people of the area.

The Cabinet gave its nod to create new Development Block Office at Ramshahar in Solan district alongwith creation and filling up of 14 posts of different categories.

It accorded its approval for issuing Letter of Intent in favour of M/s Himachal Nectars Pvt. Limited Unit No. 2 Plot No. 1 Industrial Area Banalgi  tehsil Kasauli, district Solan for setting up fruits based winery plant.

The Cabinet decided to open new Forest Division (Wildlife) at Janjehli, district Mandi along with creation and filling up of requisite posts of different categories.

It gave its nod to open new Courts of Civil Judge at Padhar and Dharampur in Mandi district alongwith creation and filling up of 13 posts each of different categories for these Courts.

It also decided for creation and establishment of State Fund for Control of Drug Abuse.

The aim of establishment this Fund is to combat illicit traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances, awareness generation, identification, counseling, treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts through government/voluntary/ other organizations and institutions.

It gave its nod to open new Block Medical Office  at Balichowki in Mandi district alongwith creation and filling up of six posts of different categories.

It also gave its consent to open new government college at Baranda in Nurpur assembly constituency of Kangra district with a provision of Rs. 5 crore for developing infrastructure.

The Cabinet decided to open Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya in village Panjalag in Jogindernagar area of Mandi district.

The Cabinet decided to take over privately managed Sanatan Dharam Sanskrit College Chamba as Government Sanskrit College, Chamba and to create and fill up the posts on the pattern of other Sanskrit Colleges.  

The Cabinet gave its nod for the externally aided project ‘Providing Water and Sanitation facilities to five towns of Himachal Pradesh’ viz. Manali, Palampur, Bilaspur, Nahan and Karsog to be funded by Agence Francaise De Developpement (AFD) and authorization for signing of Project Agreement.
