Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti Takes Aim at Asaduddin Owaisi, a self-styled Muslim leader from Hyderabad  for Meddling in Sanjauli Masjid Case. Madan Thakur, a VHP leader, Warns of Rising Tensions in Himachal Pradesh...

Shimla – The Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has fiercely criticized AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi for allegedly interfering in the ongoing dispute over the illegal Sanjauli Masjid in Shimla.

Madan Thakur, co-convener of the Samiti, took a hard stance against Owaisi, accusing him of trying to disrupt the social harmony of Himachal Pradesh.

Thakur remarked, “If Owaisi continues to meddle in local issues like this, it will only escalate tensions in our peaceful state.

The illegal Masjid in Sanjauli has become a focal point of controversy, and the government must take immediate action to resolve the matter.”

He further claimed that outsiders, especially from UP and Hyderabad, were being used to incite unrest in Himachal Pradesh.

“People  from outside whose identity is unclear to us, are being brought here to offer Namaz in places that are illegally occupied. It’s a slap in the face to the Sanatan Dharma followers of Himachal,” Thakur said.

Thakur emphasized that the state government’s inaction in removing the illegal mosque has angered the local population.

“We’ve raised our voices time and again, demanding that illegal structures be demolished, but the government has only responded by lathi-charging those who stand for the truth. It’s a shame how they’ve protected these encroachments,” he stated.

He also took a swipe at Owaisi, mocking his involvement in the case.

“Who is Owaisi to come here and stir up trouble? This isn’t Hyderabad. Himachal Pradesh has always been a land of peace, and we won’t let anyone destroy that,” Thakur warned.

The Samiti has filed an FIR against those involved in the illegal encroachment, and Thakur urged the police to act without delay.

“We trust our police will do their duty and take action. The people of Himachal will not sit quietly if this issue isn’t resolved.”

Thakur also announced that the Samiti would hold a peaceful demonstration outside the DC office on the 28th.

“If the government continues to drag its feet, we will have no choice but to escalate our protests".

"The people of Himachal Pradesh are watching, and we will not allow outsiders to come in and spoil our state’s atmosphere,” he asserted.

With rising tensions in Sanjauli, all eyes are now on the government and its next steps in addressing this contentious issue.

The government has deployed police at key points in Sanjauli town, Mandi, Sirmaur and  Nagrota  where the VHP is staging protest seeking action.
