Like UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, HP Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh has toed the same line advocating for the owner's ID.
Shimla, 25 September 2024: In a move to streamline operations and ensure transparency, the Himachal Pradesh government will install Owner IDs in all restaurants and fast food outlets across the state.
The decision was confirmed by Urban Development and PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, whose post about the initiative has gone viral on social media.
Speaking after a meeting of the Urban Development and Municipal Corporation, Singh said that the government aims to implement the new policy by December.
"The seven-member committee is working on a comprehensive vendor policy to ensure that no one faces any issues.
By December, we will have a system in place where Owner IDs will be mandatory for all eateries. This will help address concerns related to food safety and accountability," Singh stated.
The policy is expected to improve the regulation of food vendors, benefiting both the public and business owners by promoting transparency.
