SHIMLA: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition from the BJP, Jai Ram Thakur today sought probe into the controversial letter that has gone viral on social media and political circles, raising an accusing finger in the alleged corruption charges in the CMO in power projects.
Jai Ram Thakur has referred to a letter of anonymous origins addressed to the PMO in which allegations of corruption and kickbacks have been levelled against a key official in CMO and of HP power corporation Ltd.
In a statement issued here today Jai Ram Thakur expressed concern over ongoing controversies in the government created by the letter.
He mentioned an alleged letter that has gone viral, although the identity of the author is unknown.
Thakur called for Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh to investigate the letter and disclose the facts to the public.
The discussions surrounding the letter have impacted the government's work, and criticisms have been raised against the government, he claimed.
Thakur urged the Chief Minister to promptly investigate the matter and share the findings with the public.
