Shimla: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the Sirmauri Haat at Puruwala in the Paonta Sahib Assembly constituency of Sirmaur district.
The three-story Haat, spanning 450 square meters and funded with one crore rupees, aims to boost the local economy by providing a platform for showcasing and selling handicrafts and local cuisines.
Modeled after the 'She Haat' in Sarahan, the initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for the surrounding Gram Panchayats and self-help groups.
Haat will feature traditional dishes from Sirmaur, offering tourists insight into the region's rich lifestyle and traditions.
Chief Minister also shared efforts to attract investors during his visit to Dubai, focusing on power, tourism, and green energy sectors.
Investors from Dubai are expected to visit Himachal in January next year.
He said state government is promoting environmentally friendly investments for sustainable industrial development.
