SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu lauded the exemplary courage and humane gesture of three lady constables they demonstrated during the HRTC bus accident at Pandoh in Mandi on Monday and rewarded them for their efforts in the face of disaster.
The two lady constables, Sheetal and Anju of district Shimla were also travelling along with a lady accused of murder case. In this accident, both these constables had received severe injuries and were lying on the spot in injured condition along with others.
When the rescue team tried to shift them to zonal hospital Mandi, these LCs showed exemplary courage and devotion to duty and requested the police team to locate the accused lady prisoner among the passengers and ensured that the lady prisoner was also shifted in the same ambulance along with them to the hospital.
At the time of accident one Bindu of 4th IRBn, who was on leave and was travelling from Kullu to Mandi in her personal vehicle along with relatives. When she crossed the spot, she saw two ladies wearing police uniform lying on the road along with others. She assisted the two lady constables and accompanied them along with the lady prisoner to the hospital. She also ensured immediate medical help to these two lady constables and took care of them.
