Shimla- Himachal Pradesh Education Minister, Rohit Thakur, announced that  Rs 300 crore will be allocated for road improvement in the Jubbal-Kotkhai-Nawar  Assembly Constituency. The aim is to provide better transportation facilities for the people in the area, he said.

Speaking at an event in Himri and Ghunda gram panchayats of Kotkhai sub-division, the Minister emphasized that road infrastructure is crucial for development.

The Jubbal-Kotkhai region has the highest density of roads in the state, and efforts will be made to enhance them, Thakur said.

The proposed allocation includes Rs 21 crore for the improvement of the Himri road, Rs 35 crore for the Reoghati road, and Rs 20 crore for the Huli Mahasu road.

These roads play a vital role in the horticulture sector, which has gained significant recognition in the Jubbal-Kotkhai area.

The approval for three out of eight Controlled Atmosphere (CA) stores in the state has been obtained for the region, he said.

The government will focus on promoting horticulture further to ensure economic growth for the locals.

He acknowledged the economic challenges faced by the state and highlighted the government's efforts to strengthen the economy.

Through auctioning contracts, the government generated an additional income of Rs 530 crore. The aim is to alleviate the debt burden on individuals and foster prosperity in the state.

The Minister assured that vacant posts in the area will be filled, and the demands received will be addressed through budgetary provisions.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring overall development in the region, providing basic facilities at the doorstep of the people.
