HPTDC Announces Rainy Season Rebate Bonanza and Green Initiatives... Each Hotel will plant at least 10 trees.

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) is rolling out a rebate bonanza for tourists this rainy season, offering discounts ranging from 20% to 40% at its resorts across the state.

The discount period will run from July 15 to September 13, applicable at all 45 HPTDC units  across the state.

But that's not all—HPTDC is also taking a green leap!

Managing Director Dr. Rajeev Kumar has directed all unit heads to plant at least 10 trees within their premises.

Where space is limited, trees will be planted around the premises.

This initiative aims to transform the units into lush ecosystems, creating a healthier and more pleasant environment for guests and staff alike.

Dr. Kumar stressed that these greening efforts are crucial to mitigate climate change and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the properties.

Despite a dip in hotel occupancy due to recent weather forecasts, HPTDC remains committed to attracting tourists and improving their experience.

Dr. Kumar has urged all unit heads to actively market their accommodations to draw in as many tourists as possible during the rebate period.

However, there will be no discounts during certain high-traffic events.

The popular Minjar Fair from July 28 to August 4 will not feature discounts at Hotel Iravati in Chamba, Hotel Champak, and Hotel Gaurikund in Bharmour.

Similarly, the Mani Mahesh Yatra from August 17 to September 15 will also be exempt from discounts at Hotel Gaurikund.

Additionally, discounts will not be applicable at select hotels including Hotel Spiti Kaza, Hotel Kinnar Kailash in Kalpa, Sun and Snow Cottage in Kalpa, Hotel Chander Bhaga in Keylong, Hotel Kinner Kailash, Hotel Hamir,  Lakeview in Bilaspur, Hotel in Dalhousie, Hotel Neugal in Palampur, Hotel Nurpur and Hotel Bushahr Regency in Rampur, Hotel Suket in Sundernagar, and Hotel Willys Park in Shimla.

With this dual focus on attractive pricing and environmental stewardship, HPTDC aims to make the rainy season more appealing to tourists while enhancing the natural beauty of its properties.

So, pack your bags, enjoy the rain, and take advantage of the fantastic discounts while helping HPTDC green up its act!
