Shimla: About 74.22 percent of pending mutation cases were resolved during 'Mutation Adalats' held on October 30th and 31st.
According to state government spokesperson, out of 41,907 pending cases, 31,105 were settled, providing much-needed relief to the residents.
District Bilaspur led the way by resolving 90.78 percent of pending cases, settling 1,764 out of 1,943.
Meanwhile, in the tribal district of Kinnaur, 363 out of 400 cases were resolved, amounting to 90.75 percent, and district Una saw 3,271 out of 3,670 cases decided, achieving an 89.12 percent resolution rate.
The delay in the mutation process had been causing problems for the people and affecting the progress of development projects.
In response, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took action and directed the acceleration of the mutation process.
Special Mutation Adalats were organized to settle these pending cases, and this initiative has garnered appreciation from individuals like Meena Devi, Gurcharan Singh, Devesh Verma, and Manjit Singh who had long-standing cases finally resolved.
