SHIMLA: After finding the glaring regularities in the functioning of "Himachal Pradesh subordinate Commission in a series of paper leak scams, the state government has scrapped the Commission".
The state government had suspended the Hamirpur based commission soon after Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took cognizance of the paper leakage scam as soon as he took over the command of the state taking a zero-tolerance stand on the issue of corruption.
Chief minister told media persons on Tuesday that special investigation team (SIT) constituted to probe the functioning paper leakage scams of Himachal Pradesh subordinate Commission, has come out with glaring irregularities in the functioning of the Commission.
Sukhu revealed to the media persons that it is unfortunate that the government has to scrap the "Commission as it had become a den of paper leak scans for the last 3 years of the previous BJP government".
With this statement, Sukhu has raised a political storm within BJP.
He revealed the question papers were being allegedly sold in office of the commission as found by the SIT.
Hence the functioning of the Commission has been scrapped and the staff of the Commission has been put in the surplus pool.
