Shimla: In a move prioritizing town beautification and infrastructure, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a Rs. 65 crore project to place overhead electric cables underground in Shimla, Hamirpur, and Nadaun towns.
The initiative, aimed at addressing issues related to overhead electricity and wires, will allocate Rs. 25 crore for Shimla, focusing on ducting electrical cables under the Operation Circle of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEBL), Kasumpti.
Rs. 20 crore each is proposed for Nadaun and Hamirpur towns for the laying and termination of underground cables.
Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, the Chief Minister directed the HPSEBL to expedite the execution of these projects.
The State Government's commitment to ensuring uninterrupted and improved power supply is underscored by the adoption of modern techniques to provide efficient services.
