Kullu: In the aftermath of heavy snowfall, rendering all roads impassable in the tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti, patients faced distress.
Today, three patients were airlifted from Lahaul Valley to Kullu by the Indian Air Force and helicopters provided by the state government.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed gratitude towards the swift action, stating, "The airlifting of patients from Lahaul Valley is a testament to the state government's commitment to the well-being of its citizens. It gives these patients a new lease of life."
Among those airlifted were Dorje from Billing, Ram from B.R.O, and Ratan Singh from Kuthadini. Currently, all patients are undergoing treatment at the regional hospital in Kullu.
The Himachal Pradesh government stands in solidarity with the people of tribal districts, always ready to extend a helping hand in times of need.
