KULLU/MANALI JUNE 18: Veteran orchardist and hospitality magnet Nakul Khullar, Director of Baragarh Resort & Spa, Manali – IHCL SeleQtions (Taj Group), was honoured by Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar at the Kisan Mela in Patlikuhal for his outstanding contribution to horticulture and the promotion of modern orchard management practices.
Khullar was recognised for his pioneering work in apple cultivation, adoption of scientific farming techniques and efforts to encourage growers to embrace modern horticultural practices. The award adds another milestone to his long association with Himachal Pradesh's horticulture sector.
This is the second major recognition for Khullar. He had earlier been conferred the prestigious Award of Excellence Vijeta for his contribution to fruit cultivation and for promoting innovation in orchard management among farmers and orchardists.
Accepting the honour, Khullar said he was deeply humbled by the recognition and thanked Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar, the Agriculture Department and the organisers of the Kisan Mela.
He said the award would inspire him to continue working for the welfare of farmers and orchardists and to promote sustainable and scientific horticulture practices across the state.
