Live Weather Update:
Himachal in 45-day dry spell; clear week ahead as tourists keep pouring in
Shimla, 28 November 2025:
Himachal Pradesh has slipped into an unusually long 45-day dry spell, and the weather isn’t changing anytime soon. The Met Centre Shimla has predicted dry conditions across all districts for the next seven days, with only dense fog likely around the Bhakra reservoir (Bilaspur) and Balh valley (Mandi) during early mornings.
Temperatures continue to swing sharply—Tabo froze at –7.1°C, while Paonta Sahib touched 28°C, reflecting the state’s widening winter contrast.
Despite the delay in snowfall, the winter rush hasn’t slowed.
Tourists continue to flock to Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala for clear skies and crisp mountain air. The Shimla ice-skating rink is also gearing up for its season, with cold, dry nights helping natural ice formation.
Farmers and orchardists, however, are still waiting for the western disturbance that could finally bring the first snow of the season.
