Anurag Prashar Elected President of Kullu People’s Association, Shimla
Shimla, June 24, 2025: Anurag Prashar has been elected the new President of Kullu People’s Association, Shimla. O.P. Kaistha was elected General Secretary in elections held under outgoing President Dr. M.P. Sood, who has now been named Chief Patron.
Sanjeev Sharma was appointed Patron, and Dr. Kavinder Lal will serve as Advisor.
Other key office bearers include Murari Lal Sharma (Senior Vice President), Gulpal Verma (Vice President), Jiwan (Financial Secretary), Upmanyu Verma (Joint Secretary), and Neeraj (Press Secretary).
Prashar praised the previous team’s efforts, especially during the Association’s silver jubilee celebrations.
He reaffirmed commitment to pending projects, including the proposed Kullu Bhawan in Shimla to support students and patients from interior Kullu.
Kaistha announced plans for a mobile directory of members to improve connectivity.
Formed by MP Sood, the Association has over 600 members and works to preserve Kullu’s culture while supporting its people in Shimla.
