The goal is to collect milk from cattle farmers and sell milk by-products to help the rural economy. They will introduce a scheme called "Him-Ganga" to develop a milk-based economy in the state.

The scheme will ensure that farmers get fair prices for their milk and improve the systems for collecting, processing, and selling milk. The government will also protect farmers from price changes and support those from poorer backgrounds.

They have allocated Rs. 500 crore for the "Him-Ganga" scheme, which will start with a pilot project and expand later.

To increase farmers' income, the government will set up cooperative societies to market milk and its products effectively. They will also upgrade existing milk processing plants and build new ones. This will require developing infrastructure and supply chains over time.

The Agriculture Minister, Prof. Chander Kumar, praised the Chief Minister's efforts to improve the rural economy. The Congress party has guaranteed to buy cow milk at Rs. 80 per liter and buffalo milk at Rs. 100 per liter, which will bring a milk revolution in Himachal Pradesh, according to the Agriculture Minister.

Local MLA Sudhir Sharma thanked the Chief Minister for planning to improve the Dhagwar Milk Plant.

During the visit, the Chief Minister also inspected the Bio Diversity Park site at Narwana.

Other important people present at the event were R.S Bali, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation; Kishori Lal, CPS; Kewal Singh Pathania, MLA; Vishal Chambiyal, Vice Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation; Sanjay Chauhan, Chairman of Agriculture Development Bank; and other officials.
