DGP constituted SIT after the locals alleged that the factory was run illegally over the period of time that posed risk to the residents in industrial area of Bathu, Tahliwal in district Una, where the factory went up in smoke killing 6 workers and injuring 14 others.
The police have lodged FIR No. 41/22 today under sections 286, 337, 304A IPC and 9(C) of Explosive Act at police station Haroli, district Una.
The SIT would be headed by Sumedha Diwedi, DIG northern range, Vimukat Ranjan, commandant first IRBn and Arjit Sen, SP Una. They will update on progress of the probe periodically, said the DGP.
