Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday joined Maharashtra in mourning the victims of a tragic plane crash reported from Baramati, which claimed five lives and left the nation in shock.
Expressing deep grief, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was “extremely saddened” by the unfortunate aircraft accident in Baramati, Maharashtra.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for strength and courage for them to endure the immense loss.
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash in Baramati, Maharashtra. I share the grief of all those who have lost their loved ones in this accident. I pray that the bereaved families get strength and courage in this difficult hour,” the Prime Minister said.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister also expressed profound sorrow over the tragedy, describing it as a heartbreaking incident that has shaken the country. He said the loss of lives in the crash was irreparable and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
The Chief Minister said the entire state of Himachal Pradesh stands in solidarity with Maharashtra and the affected families in this moment of grief, praying for peace to the departed souls and strength to those left behind.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, while rescue and recovery operations were carried out at the wreckage site. Further details are awaited.
Investigation later revealed the plane crashed threshold near the runway. The visibility was 3000 m and pilot had got the clearance of landing but the ATC didn't get the read back after a minute of clearance they only saw flames.
