During the meeting, Negi said the government has already distributed Rs 227 crore to families affected by recent disasters as part of special disaster relief.

He directed officials to ensure timely assistance to all affected people.

The SDRF, responsible for conducting rescue operations during disasters, is undergoing modern training to handle various situations.

Trained personnel will be strategically deployed when needed, and Rs 12.65 crore has been allocated for providing necessary equipment to SDRF personnel.

Negi stressed the importance of SDRF personnel establishing communication with local communities to ensure better coordination during disasters.

The government aims to raise awareness among the public about taking necessary precautions in the event of various disasters.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Revenue Omkar Chand Sharma, Director, and Special Secretary Revenue-Disaster Management D.C. Rana, senior officials of the State Disaster Management Authority, and Superintendent of Police (SDRF) Ilma Afroz.
