Una: Police have registered an FIR against eight officials, including former Managing Director Vinod Kumar, in connection with a long-pending hotel loan case linked to the Kangra Central Cooperative Bank Limited (KCCB).

 

The FIR has been lodged at Sadar Police Station, Una, on the complaint of Yudh Chand Bains, son of Pooran Chand, a resident of village Bhura, post office Rajgarh, in Mandi district. The complainant has alleged serious irregularities in the sanction and handling of a hotel loan by the bank.

 

According to the police, the case pertains to alleged violations and procedural lapses committed during the loan process, which have now come under the scanner following a detailed complaint. Besides the former MD, seven other officers and employees of the bank have been named in the FIR.

 

Police officials said that an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the role of each accused and to examine the bank records related to the loan. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the probe.
