HPU Students Bring Laurels, Bag Seven Prizes at Youth Festival 2025 in Nahan

Shimla, October 16: Students of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) made the institution proud by bagging seven prizes at the Youth Festival 2025 (Group-I events) held at Government Degree College, Nahan.

Their stellar performances across literary and fine arts categories earned wide praise from the university faculty members and authorities. 

Ambika from the Department of Visual Arts clinched the first prize in cartooning(see image) while Anjali, also from Visual Arts, took first place in collage making.

Vrishti from the Department of Fine Arts won first prize in clay modelling, showcasing remarkable creativity.

 

In the literary segment, the debate trophy was jointly lifted by Radhika Sharma (Department of Physics) and Robin Thakur (Department of Sociology). Khushnuma Malik from Fine Arts secured second place in rangoli, Dheeraj from Visual Arts earned second prize in poster making, and Ketan, also from Visual Arts, bagged third prize in on-the-spot painting.

The participants in quiz and elocution were also lauded for their confident and impressive performances.

Congratulating the winners, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahaveer Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajinder Verma, and Dean Students’ Welfare Prof. Mamta Mokta said the students had brought laurels to HPU through their dedication, teamwork, and artistic excellence.
