Indian Mobile Congress in New Delhi

Highlighting India's leap from a 4G follower to a 6G leader, he emphasized the role of technology in uniting the nation.

IMC 2024, set to take place from October 15 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, will be a hub for innovation.

It will feature over 400 exhibitors and 640 startups, showcasing cutting-edge solutions and state-of-the-art use cases in technology domains such as 6G, AI, semiconductors, broadcasting, electronics manufacturing, satellite communications, quantum computing, and cybersecurity.

The event aims to attract significant investment and foster over 500 one-on-one meetings with potential investors, angels, incubators, and venture capital funds. More than 150,000 attendees from over 120 countries are expected, with 900 technology use cases on display and 100+ sessions featuring over 600 speakers.

Concurrent to IMC 2024, India will also host the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA 2024) and the Global Standards Symposium (GSS 2024) from October 14-24 at the same venue. These international conferences will further solidify India's central role in global tech advancements.

Additionally, the event saw the launch of the IMC 2024 app, available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, designed to enhance the visitor experience with AI-powered features.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) also introduced a new testing scheme for startups and MSMEs, providing up to INR 50 lakhs in reimbursements for testing and certification costs, aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing and exports.

The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Telecom Excellence Awards 2023 were conferred, recognizing outstanding contributions in telecom technology advancement, NavIC-based devices, millimeter-wave technology, telecom innovations, and secure networking products.

The Congress marked the signing of an MoU between NTIPRIT and IIT Jammu for expert-level training in cybersecurity, aiming to build a robust pool of cyber experts in India.
