Kangna Ranaut in Manali

From 'Queen' to 'Power Queen': Kangna Ranaut’s Latest electric Shock in Manali..

MANALI: Kangna Ranaut, Bollywood’s controversy factory and Mandi’s freshly minted BJP MP, is once again making headlines

BUT this time, it’s not for her fiery speeches or Twitter storms. It’s her jaw-dropping power bill of ₹70,386 for just two months at her luxurious Manali fortress.

Apparently, while the mountains are cool, Kangna’s mansion has been running like a full-time sauna if one goes by her bill.

Locals joke she’s single-handedly competing with the sun, keeping her lights blazing day and night, even though she stays alone with just her house staff.

Kangna cried foul,  and was fumed when she was quizzed by media claiming her bill was inflated.  Itna bill aa hi nahin Sakta, she fumed at Bijliwala and the power board under  Sukhu ki Sarkar.

Has she foregone her Bijli Subsidy?

Next she is waiting for the bill of her Highend Cafe in Manali.

But the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEBL) has flipped the switch on her argument.

HP Bijliwala  say Kangna is their big client and now a big  Defaulter.

She is like the Sukhu-led state government not paying them their  subsidy part, pushing power board  into crisis.

"The meter doesn’t lie," they  say, firmly standing by the reading. "This isn’t a house. This is a like a single queen resort!"

But here’s where it gets spicier. Whispers in Manali suggest this isn’t just about power consumption. Some claim the Congress-ruled Sukhu government might be in revenge mode.

During the last Lok Sabha campaign, Kangna took potshots at Congress bigwigs, famously branding Rahul Gandhi and Vikramaditya Singh, her rival as "Bada Pappu and Chhota Pappu."

It seems the power bill has turned into political voltage.

“She poked fun at the Congress leadership, and now they are poking back — through the power board,” chuckled a local observer.

Even BJP leaders, usually in her corner, are reportedly raising eyebrows.

"As an MP, she should promote green energy and conservation, not turn her house into a power-hungry citadel," murmured a party insider.

The controversy doesn’t stop at the meter. Locals are also wary of her "Big Brother" style security setup.

Her mansion is dotted with CCTV cameras, making sure no one can sneak a selfie with her house in the backdrop.

"No one dares take potshots of her place," said a Manali resident. "She’s made sure of that."

Now, all eyes are on Kangna. Will she pay up like a responsible citizen? Contest the bill in consumer court?

Or go full Bollywood and accuse the meter itself of a conspiracy? No one knows.

But one thing is clear: the bijliwala is not backing down. CM has nothing to do with meter reading.

For now, Kangna remains the undisputed Power Queen of Manali — both in politics and electricity consumption.

Manaliwalas are waiting: will she pays her bill or Bijliwala will cut off her Bijli supply as they usually do to  common consumer who default on payment. Only Kangna has to take call.
