This event shed light on the transformative impact of cyber culture on the realm of libraries.

The seminar, inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh, Pro-Chancellor of IILM University, Gurugram, Haryana, brought together esteemed figures in the academic world. Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijaya Kumar, Director of NLIU, Bhopal; Prof. (Dr.) Paramjit Singh Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor of SRM University Sonipat; and Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of HPNLU Shimla, graced the occasion with their presence.

The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, emphasizing the library's evolving role in the electronic era. Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh and Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijaya Kumar, serving as Guest of Honor, contributed insights during the one-day seminar. Prof. (Dr.) Parmjit Singh Jaswal delivered the Presidential Address, underscoring the pivotal role of libraries in adapting to the challenges of the digital age.

Dr. Vikram K. Sharma, University Librarian at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharmshala, took center stage with a Keynote Address.

Delving into various aspects, he discussed the dynamic landscape of Library Resources and Services in Indian Universities in the context of the cyber culture.

The seminar also saw active participation from leading publishers, namely M/s. Total Library Solution Group Delhi, M/s. Balani Infotech Noida, and Magzter Digital Magazine Store, New Delhi. These industry players showcased their latest products and technologies, offering presentations that highlighted the transformative impact of electronic advancements on library services.

A thought-provoking panel discussion, led by Dr. Prem Chand, Librarian at IIAS Shimla, focused on the 'Present Status of Libraries in the Electronic Era.'

This engaging discourse delved into the challenges and opportunities that libraries face as they navigate the digital landscape.

Drawing attendance from approximately 50 library professionals, including representatives from universities, institutions, colleges, and schools across Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Chandigarh, the seminar provided a platform for sharing insights and experiences.

Ph.D. scholars and LL.M students from HPNLU, Shimla actively participated, reflecting the keen interest in understanding the evolving role of libraries in the electronic age.

 As libraries continue to adapt and embrace the cyber culture, events like these play a crucial role in fostering dialogue and innovation within the academic community.
