Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the G7 Summit’s Outreach Session in Apulia, Italy, discussing Artificial Intelligence (AI), energy, and global issues concerning Africa and the Mediterranean.

He congratulated the G7 on its 50th anniversary and shared his satisfaction in attending the Summit after his re-election in the world's largest democratic exercise.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi emphasized India’s commitment to a human-centric approach in technology, citing India’s success in leveraging digital technology for public service delivery.

He highlighted the country's AI initiative, "AI for All," aimed at fostering inclusive progress and well-being.

Modi stressed the importance of international collaboration, noting India’s role as a founding member of the Global Partnership for AI.

Discussing India's energy strategy, the Prime Minister outlined the nation’s approach based on availability, accessibility, affordability, and acceptability.

He reaffirmed India's goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070 and promoted the Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) initiative.

Modi encouraged global participation in the "Plant4Mother" campaign, which advocates for tree planting as a mass movement.

Prime Minister Modi also urged the global community to prioritize the concerns of the Global South, particularly Africa.

He noted India's honor in seeing the African Union become a permanent member of the G20 during India’s presidency.
